It’s Crooked

Can’t you plow that ol’ mule to lay off a straight row?

It’s as crooked as a dog’s hind leg!

I was involved in the writing of Wild and Wooley and still enjoy reading some of the crazy tales. I find myself sitting here chuckling as I read and re-read the stories. Being his Pard for so many years, I have witnessed many more crazy tales that will be forthcoming in the next edition. “Lets go to work”. Charles

I want you to know that I realy enjoyed reading Wild And Wooley. I can really relate to many of the stories that were told. I was also raised in central Florida and have had some of the same good times that were told in the book. My Great Grandfather, Grandfather, Uncle and myself were cattlemen in Polk County, Kissimmee River (in the Avon Park bombing range and Shady Oaks. I also had some cattle in Collier County in the Big Cypress in the early 70’s. I worked as riding foreman on Big Cypress Ranch in the early 70’s. My dad had a lease and hunting camp in the Big Cypress form 1959 until his death in 1978. We first went to camp thru the Big Cypress indian reservation at an old cow camp called Bull Head and later came in off Alligator alley.
I would really like to sit and talk sometime. Thanks for the memories.
